At 0448 hours this morning, Rome Fire was paged for a structure fire on Dover Court in the Town of Rome. The automatic aid that is prearranged also dispatched Big Flats, Nekoosa,and Grand Rapids Fire Departments as well as Lifestar Ambulance. Rome PD was first to arrive and provided updates for the developing fire scene

Upon FD arrival the garage was fully engulfed and fire had spread to the house. All occupants were able to self evacuate safely.

Crews worked to extinguish the fire and salvage personal items from the home. Crews remained on scene until 0758 hours and then returned to the station to clean and restock equipment.
