Rome Town Center Veterans Honor Walk Banner Program
Now Accepting Applications!
The Town of Rome is proud to announce the re-launch of the Veterans Honor Walk Banner Program, an initiative honoring the brave men and women who have served or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Through this program, personalized banners will be displayed throughout the Rome Town Center to recognize and celebrate veterans and active-duty service members. Each banner will feature the veteran’s name, photo, branch of service, and any distinctive service information such as conflicts in which they served or medals they were awarded.
Who Can Be Honored?
This program is open to all veterans and active-duty service members.
How to Apply:
Family members, friends, or organizations can sponsor a banner. For your convenience, applications can be accessed by clicking the link below and completing the application online or printing and completing it manually. Alternately, you can:
- Stop by the Rome Town Hall (1156 Alpine Dr.) to pick up an application
- Visit the Town of Rome website (www.romewi.gov)
- Contact Sue Giardino or Stephanie Lauby (see info below) for additional options
Cost:
The banners are $100 each and will cover production costs and a donation to a military focused organization. This year, the donation will be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Ryan Larson Post #65.
Where to send application, payment and photo:
Please return application, payment and a photo to Sue Giardino at the address below by July 11th, 2025. If you are using a digital photo, please email it to sgiardino0910@gmail.com. How to Pay:
Please make checks payable to ALA Unit 65 in the amount of $100.00

Do you already have a banner from the previous program?
If you purchased a banner previously and it is in good condition, you can donate it back to be displayed. There is no cost to do so HOWEVER, you are welcome to make a donation of any amount to the American Legion Auxiliary following the instructions above.
Banner Display Dates:
For 2025, banners will be displayed from late August through Veteran’s Day, November 11th. Each year thereafter, banners will be displayed from Memorial Day through Veterans Day.
Let’s come together as a community to recognize the service, sacrifice, and dedication of our hometown heroes. Show your support and help us line the Rome Town Center with pride!
